The listing update process – which updates “featured listings” to match the latest IDX listing data – was regularly failing halfway through for some larger MLS boards, resulting in some customers’ new listings not showing up on their websites. We’ve e-released a fix and are monitoring it. So far looks good.
Measuring/Optimizing Lead Conversion
We’ve created a system to do split A/B tests on customer websites – specifically targeted at registration forms – for the purpose of optimizing lead conversion. We’ve started our first split test – it’s running on 300 existing customer accounts. We’ll going to let it run for several weeks and then use the winning configuration as our new default. This first test compares variants of the “simple registration form” with and without extra fields for name and phone. They both trigger the same follow-up form, but the version without is relying on the follow-up form to capture the phone. After this test is over, we’ll queue up another one. Test, optimize, rinse, repeat.
Next Major Version of Elite Websites We’re starting development on a large (6 mo+) project that will include:
New IDX Search UI
Better looking website templates
New page layout and widget infrastructure to support the above
Faster listing updates
Faster listing search
Faster page load speed
