Welcome to our step-by-step guide on adding Google Login to your website registration, allowing single sign-on (SSO) for a streamlined user experience as well as “One-Tap” Registration. This guide is designed for real estate agents, iHOUSE Elite clients, website admins, and real estate brokers.

Let's get started!


Step 1: Visit the Google Developer Console

  1 - Go to Google Developer Console: https://console.developers.google.com/

  2 - Sign in with your Google account by entering your email and password.

  3 - You will be prompted to agree to the Google Cloud Platform Terms of Service.


Step 2: Create a New Project

  1 - Once signed in, you should be directed to the API and Services Dashboard. If not, click on "Enable API and Services" in the sidebar.

  2 - Click on "Create Project".

  3 - Provide a name for your project. Use the default settings or customize them as needed.

  4 - Select "No Organization" for the organization field and click "Create".


What if I don't see 'Create Project' ?

Ensure you are on https://console.developers.google.com/ , if you do not see 'Create Project' as detailed in the video- click the 'My Project' button in the top left. 

The modal window will then provide the option to create 'New Project' aligning you with the video tutorial.  


Step 3: Configure OAuth Consent Screen

  1 - In the sidebar, click on "OAuth Consent Screen".

  2 - Select "External" and then click "Create".

  3 - Fill in the App Information:

      * App Name: Enter the name of your app.

      * User Support Email: Provide a contact email for user inquiries.

      * Logo (optional): Upload a logo if desired.

  4 - Fill in the App Domain:

      * Authorized Domains: Enter the URL of your website (e.g., https://yourihousewebsite.com).

      * Privacy Policy URL: Copy the URL of your website's privacy policy.

      * Terms of Service URL (optional): Copy the URL of your website's terms of service.

  5 - Provide Developer Contact Information and click "Save and Continue".

  6 - No action is needed under "Scopes". Scroll down and click "Save and Continue".

  7 - No action is needed under "Test Users". Scroll down and click "Save and Continue".

  8 - Review the summary and click "Back to Dashboard".


Step 4: Create OAuth Credentials

  1 - In the sidebar, click on "Credentials".

  2 - Click on "Create Credentials" and select "OAuth Client ID".

  3 - Set the application type to "Web Application".

  4 - Provide a name for the OAuth client ID.

  5 - Under "Authorized Redirect URIs", add the full URL of your website including HTTPS.

  6 - Click "Create". Your Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed. Make a note of these.


Step 5: Add Credentials to Your iHouseWeb Admin Menu

  1 - Visit your iHouseWeb Admin menu.

  2 - In the sidebar, click on "Integrations".

  3 - Under "Integrations", click "Social Login".

  4 - Check the box for "Include Google Single Sign-On for Simple Registration".

  5 - Enter your App ID and App Secret in the provided fields.

  6 - Click "Save Settings".


Step 6: Verify Google Single Sign-On

  1 - To confirm the setup, log out of your website or open it in a private window.

  2 - Click on "Sign Up".

  3 - You should now see the option to register using Google Single Sign-On (SSO) to Sign Up.


Step 7: Enable and verify Google ‘One-Tap’ Registration

  1 - Under Integrations, find where you previously enabled Google Single Sign-On. 

  2 - Below this you'll see the option for 'Enable Google One-Tap Prompt'

  3 - Check the box to enable this, and then press Save Settings.

  4 - Those visiting your website will now receive a prompt to register using their Google Account when detected.

  5 - Visit your website while logged in to a Google Account, this will be detected and the prompt shown. 


Congratulations! You have successfully set up Google Single Sign-On for simple registration and Google ‘One-Tap’ registration on your website.
