Here are answers to some commonly asked Spotlight questions:
1. Do cookies need to be enabled in my browser?
In order to access Spotlight Administration (Directory, Editor, Account Info, File Manager) cookies need to be enabled in your browser. Unless you have specifically disabled cookies in the browser preferences, most browsers default to allowing cookies.
3. I already purchased the domain name for my Spotlight Website. Is there anything special that I need to do?
You can proceed to purchase and activate your Spotlight Website. You will still need to purchase a domain name through our system(you can not transfer existing domain names to our system). Once you complete the steps to purchase and activate, contact Customer Service directly to assist you with redirecting your domain name to your new Spotlight Website.
4. What photo formats can I upload?
Acceptable file formats for Property Photos and Agent Photo are .jpg and .gif.
5. What is the maximum photo size that I can upload?
There is no maximum photo size restriction for Spotlight. You can upload any file size for a photo. The only limitation to consider is your browser time out setting. A large file may time out within your browser before it completes the upload process.
6. How can I tell when my photos are done loading?
Depending on the photo size and format and your internet connection speed, photos can load very quickly or take a minute or two to load. There is an icon indicating that the photo is loading.
7. What is the difference between Standard photo size and Large photo size?
Standard photo size will render photos, including those that are imported from the MLS and those that are manually uploaded, into a 300×225 display format. This format is recommended for low to medium-resolution photos.
Large photo size will render all photos, including those that are imported from the MLS and those that are manually uploaded, into a 452×339 display format. This format is recommended for high-resolution photos.
8. What is the difference between the File Manager and Spotlight Editor Documents?
The File Manager is a global file managing system. You are able to globally load files and then assign them to 1 or more Spotlight Websites. You can also view the list of files associated with all websites from the File Manager.
Spotlight Editor Documents allows you to upload and view files associated with a particular website only.
9. What is Set as Default?
Set as Default allows you to pre-set content and layout templates for future Spotlight Websites. If you select Set as Default in Quick Edit Agent Info, for example, then whenever you create a new website, the agent profile and photo are loaded automatically into the new website. Set as Default is a quick way to reuse information from an earlier website. You can use Set as Default for the following:

- Document Heading Text
