Your Manual listing entry screen allows you to create and manage listings that are NOT in your IDX feed*.
To access the Manual listing entry screen, log into your iHOUSEweb admin menu, and click Edit Website, then click Listings, then click Manual.
*Active listings (and even some sold listings) can be found and updated from your IDX feed, so you should use that approach wherever possible. If Auto-Update is used for a listing, you will NOT be able to edit the listing details. For more information, see Listing Automatic Updates.
Adding a Listing Manually
First, select the listing status from the dropdown menu. Most listings will have an Active status. A status of closed allows you to add notes and closing information to the property. Next, there are some checkboxes that will allow you to mark the listing as a rental or commercial listing, or if this listing is under contract, or taking backup offers. After that, you have the option to set a display status.
Next enter the basic information for the listing, such as MLS# (if you have one), Property Type, Price, Address, Lot size (in acres) etc. If you have a link to a virtual tour, you can enter it in the Virtual Tour URL box (please include the entire URL).
Next, you can enter a description for the listing.
In the Features module you start with some sample features. Edit them to say what you want, or you can just delete them. Use the Add a new feature link to add more features. In the "Name" field enter the title of the feature. In the "Value" field enter the corresponding description for the feature. You can add as many features as you want.
Map Display Location
You can also add a Map Display Location, to allow this listing to appear in map searches. Just drag and drop the pin exactly where the listing is located. To remove a location, click Reset to default location. If you're creating a new listing, this option will appear after saving the listing for the first time.
Virtual Tour URLs
Add a virtual tour or video link from sources such as matterport, youtube, vimeo, or other service as an embedded listing detail photo to give quick access to a more comprehensive viewing experience.
Tagging
You have the option of assigning a tag to your listing. Tags allow you to create custom categories for your listings and then feature them on different Featured Listings pages.
For example, if you assign the listing a keyword of Waterfront, you could then create a new featured listing page with a rule to only show listings with a keyword of Waterfront. You then have a Featured Listing page with only waterfront properties on it.
Once you're done, click Save Listing and you will be taken to the next tab to upload Photos and set Open Houses.
Editing your Listing
After initial setup of the listing, if you go back to the Listing Details tab you can follow the same steps from when you added your listing to Edit your Listing.
If you're in Edit Mode, go to the Listings tab. under Manage your Listings click the edit link on the listing you want to edit.
